Here's the answer to the questions poised in my previous post (directly from product support):
“There is a temporary problem with the Activation Servers caused by the large number of users trying to activate Office 2007 Beta 2. You may continue to use Office without activating the beta up to the number of grace boots listed in the Activation Dialog. Please try to activate at a later time. Thank you for your patience.”
Sounds like we should be flattered the response to the beta was so high. OK, I know: Ha ha. Very funny. I'll race you to the newsgroups to see who posts this answer first.
