User Account Control è una delle tante innovazioni di Windows Vista.....potenzialmente molto valido, ma anche troppo invasivo. La funzione di UAC è di avvisare l'utente di determinate operazioni che si vogliono compiere o che un applicativo vuole compiere......ma non si può chiedere conferma, in versione UAC, se voglio togliere un'icona dal menù avvio. Molti prodotti necessitano dell'autorizzazione da parte di UAC, anche per avviarsi.....anche se volete fare una mappatura dei dischi presenti sul vostro server.

Vabè....cmq sia, oggi vi parlo di un metodo per aggiungere i vostri software preferiti, all'interno del Database di UAC, in modo che non vi venga più chiesta conferma dell'operazione. Ecco i passaggi da svolgere:

- Install the Application Compatibility Toolkit 5.0 -> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=24DA89E9-B581-47B0-B45E-492DD6DA2971&displaylang=en
- In the Start menu, locate the Compatibility Administrator inside the ACT folder. Right-click it and Run as administrator
- In the left hand pane, right-click on the database under Custom Databases and select Create New, and select Application Fix
- Enter the name of the application you want to alter and browse to it to select it
- Click Next until you are in the Compatibility Fixes screen
- On the Compatibility Fixes screen, find the item RunAsInvoker, and check it
- Click Next and Finish
- Select File and Save As. Save the file as appname.sdb in a directory you will easily find it
- Copy the appname.sdb file to the Vista computer you want to alter the elevation prompt behavior on
- Click Start>All Programs>Accessories. Right click Command Prompt and click Run as administrator
- Run the command: sdbinst appname.sdb
