Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. on blood fat, blood glucose of the hyperlipidemia rats.
Methods: The male wistar rats were fed with high fat forage for 2 months to establish the model of hyperlipidemia. Then the rats were randomly divided into normal control, model, drug, drug control groups and the contents of TC, TG, HDL C, and GLU in different groups were detected.
Results Compared with model group, the contents of TC, TG and Glu decreased obviously in middle and high dose of aqueous extract group and positive control group, the content of HOL-C increased in middle and positive control groups (P<0.05).
Conclusion: The model of hyperlipidemia in rats induced by high fat for age is an ideal animal model to research hyperlipidemia and its complications. The aqueous extract of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. can improve blood fat and glucose of hyperlipidemia rats.
