Durante il MMS 2008, è stata annunciata la nuova Roadmap dei prodotti System Center. Microsoft ha deciso che ci sarà una minor release ogni anno e mezzo, mentre ci sarà una major release ogni 3 anni. Ecco cosa ci aspetta per il futuro:

- VMM: v.2007 last year, v.2008 this year and v.3 in 2010
- DPM: v.2007 last year, a rollup / SP1 this year and v.3 in 2010
- SCCM: v.2007 last year, SP1 and R2 this year and v.5 in 2010
- SCOM: v.2007 last year, SP1 this year, SP2 in 2009 and v.4 in 2010
- SvcMgr: v1 in 2010
- MDM: v.2008 this year and SP1 next year
- SCE: SP1 this year and v.2 next year

Il 2010 sarà un anno molto intenso per Microsoft che potrebbe vedere oltre alla famiglia SC, anche la nuova versione di Exchange Server. Se volete vedere lo screenshot della Roadmap, potrete vederla a questo link.
