Microsoft Internet Explorer e la patch 905915
Odd browser problems occur after installing Security Update Q905915?http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ie/905915.htm Published: Dec 17, 2005SymptomsAfter installing the Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer [ 905915], the following problems may be seen when using Internet Explorer:- Multiple browser windows open when you double-click an internet shortcut - When you type the URL in the Address bar and click Go, the website may open in a third-party browser, or opens in a new instance of Internet Explorer - Long delay occurs after clicking a hyperlink - Double-clicking the Internet Shortcuts cause the following error message: Windows cannot find '(null)'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.
Resolution The problem is well addressed in the IE Team Blog. See post IEBlog : IE December Security Update – addressing scattered reports of odd browser behavior for the solution. Automate the steps using this REG file Solution is to delete the key named {C90250F3-4D7D-4991-9B69-A5C5BC1C2AE6} in the registry. To automate this, here is a small REG file - IE7betakey.reg. Download the REG file and save to Desktop. Right-click the file, and then choose Merge. Thanks to MVP Ramesh Srinivasan
